IUS ROUNDUP: Grenadier men’s win streak grows to four at Alice Lloyd

The Indiana University Southeast men’s basketball team just keeps on rolling.
The Grenadiers won their fourth consecutive game on Saturday, defeating host Alice Lloyd, 91-70.
Three IUS players scored in double figures, led by sophomore guard Alex Gravelle with 18 points. Junior Jeremy Holland came off the pine to score 17 points and New Albany graduate Derick Hobbs added 12.
Grenadier sophomore Craig Bryant, also a New Albany grad, grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds. Gravelle and teammate DeJon Gary each dished out four assists.
IUS (12-7, 2-0 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) will host Georgetown College, the second-ranked team in NAIA Division I, on Tuesday at 8:45 p.m.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
• Grenadiers down Pomeroys: Freshman Alden Krausse scored a game-high 18 points to lead visiting IU Southeast past St. Mary-of-the-Woods, 74-60. Krausse shot a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line along with making 5-of-13 field goals.
Teammate Brittany Caple tallied 12 points along with a team-high four steals and four assists. Also for the Grenadiers (9-9), junior Andrea Chambers had 10 points, seven rebounds and a game-high six assists, and freshman Tia Wineinger pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds to go along with three assists and three steals.
IUS will return to action on Tuesday when it entertains Spalding at 6:45 p.m.
