Lane of U.S 31 in Clark County remains closed due to bridges project

Will stay shut down for next several months

CLARK COUNTY — LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The following closures and lane restrictions are expected today and next week in connection with construction on the Downtown Crossing bridges project.

 

Work scheduled for today:

• The ramp from Interstate 64 east to Interstate 65 North is scheduled to close overnight for demolition work in the area. It is scheduled to close around 9 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m.

• The left lane of I-64 east from Ninth Street to Witherspoon Street is scheduled to close overnight for demolition work in the area. It is scheduled to close around 9 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m.

• The right lane of I-64 west to the I-65 south ramp from Witherspoon Street to Main Street is scheduled to close overnight for demolition work in the area. It is scheduled to close around 9 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m.

• The right lane of I-65 south from the Kennedy Bridge to Market Street is scheduled to close overnight for the placement of temporary barrier wall. It is scheduled to close around 9 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m.

Kentucky Side (Next Week)

Work scheduled to begin Monday:


• The ramp from I-64 east to I-65 north is scheduled to close overnight Monday through Friday for demolition work in the area. It is scheduled to close around 9 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. each day.

• One lane of I-64 east from Ninth Street to Witherspoon Street is scheduled to close overnight Monday through Friday for demolition work in the area. It is scheduled to close around 9 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. each day.

• The right lane of I-64 west to the I-65 south ramp from Witherspoon Street to Main Street is scheduled to close overnight next week Monday through Friday for demolition work in the area. It is scheduled to close around 9 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. each day.

• The right lane of I-65 south from the Kennedy Bridge to Market Street is scheduled to close overnight next week for demolition work in the area. It is scheduled to close around 9 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m.
