Caregiver Homes opens Jeffersonville office

Company provides in-home assistance to elderly, disabled

JEFFERSONVILLE — A structured family caregiving provider opened its fifth Indiana location in Jeffersonville on Tuesday.

Caregiver Homes, which began operations in Indiana last year, provides people with training, support and financial assistance for caregiving for elderly or disabled family members in their homes.

Peter Bisbecos, Caregiver Homes of Indiana state director, said in-home care giving allows people to receive support in the place they are most comfortable.

“We are excited to be fully operational in Southern Indiana in hopes of reaching more families with this care model,” Bisbecos said in a news release.

Those who benefit from Caregiver Homes must be Medicaid eligible and need help with daily personal care. Caregivers are most often family members but can be anyone who is willing to live with a care recipient. They are available to work at all hours and are paid twice a month.

“For hundreds of families in five states, Caregiver Homes delivers safety, security, health and well being,” said Jeffersonville Care Manager Betty Antoine. “We are excited to be able to offer these services in Jeffersonville and the surrounding areas.”

Caregiver Homes began in 2005 and operates in five states, serving more than 2,000 people. The Jeffersonville office is at 2780 Jefferson Center Way in Suite 101. Those interested in this type of personal care may contact the Care Advisory Unit at 866-797-2333.
