Deadline nears to register for Pearls program

JEFFERSONVILLE — One Southern Indiana announced that there is limited time to register for the Tuesday, June 17, Pearls of Wisdom event at Kye’s II in Jeffersonville.

Featured speaker Anne Northup represented the Louisville-centered 3rd District of Kentucky in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1997-07.

While in Congress, she served on the House Appropriations Committee, the powerful committee that considers all federal spending bills, as well as several subcommittees. As a representative of Kentucky, she also focused on energy and environmental issues and brings to her new position strong working relationships with the coal, oil and gas industries.

Attendees at this breakfast event will be eligible to win a 16-inch rice pearl necklace with a handmade sterling silver magnetic clasp valued at $800. Donated by Endris Jewelers, the necklace will be given away at the final Pearls of Wisdom breakfast Dec. 3.

Several local women executives will lead table discussions following the keynote address. Serving in those capacities Tuesday will be: True Colors Tanning LLC, Lisa Brooking; UofL College of Business, Eileen Davis; U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly, Melanie Douglas; PNC, Kim Drake; Ivy Tech Community College, Jenny Eggenspiller; Wimsett & Company, Cindy Hutchens; Park Community Credit Union, Tyler Mattingly; Your Community Bank, Kyra McCormick; MMN Consulting, Marisa Midkiff-Neal; Habitat for Humanity, Andrea Stevens; and Badger and Spiller Orthodontics, Claire Volpert Williams.
