Jeffersonville buys vacant plot

Road closures approved for Saturday event

JEFFERSONVILLE — Beautification request tabled

A request by Jeffersonville resident Richard Eklund to place concrete flower pots in an island at 8th and Penn streets was tabled.

Crouch said a plan needed to be presented to the city before he would recommend approval and he also wanted to ensure that sightlines for vehicles are not obstructed.

Eklund said funding for placing the flower pots is still being determined, but the nearby Branham Tabernacle Church volunteered to maintain the islands once they are installed.
