Reminder: Tax bills due Tuesday
Credit card payments will carry a 2.95 percent charge
Clark County Treasurer Janet Hurst is reminding residents that their annual tax bills will be due next week. The bills, due Tuesday, are the payments for tax year 2008-09.
If the property taxes are not received on time, a penalty will be added to the total amount. A 5 percent penalty will be added to tax bills that are past due, but paid within 30 days of the due date. An additional 5 percent penalty — a total of 10 percent — will be added to tax bills if it is not paid within the 30 days beyond the due date.
If you did not receive a tax statement, contact the treasurer’s office at 812-285-6205.
