Kiwanis hosting pancake breakfast
The New Albany Kiwanis will host a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16 at Tumbleweed Restaurant, 2005 State St., New Albany.
The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 2 to 12 years of age. The event will feature John Oakes, world record holder in highest pancake toss. Proceeds go to The Salvation Army Children’s Christmas Party and Scholarships.
Food addicts group hosting meeting
Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous is offering a free information session at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 17, at Northside Christian Church, 4407 Charlestown Road, New Albany.
Anyone who may be suffering from overeating, food obsession, under-eating or bulimia is welcome to attend, including those who are concerned about someone who may be suffering. City, business to send off Red Devils
The city of Jeffersonville and Gray & Wells Collision Center, 2005 E. 10th St., will host a send-off at 3 p.m. Saturday for the Jeffersonville High School boys’ basketball team before it plays later in the day in the Seymour Semistate.
The game will tip-off at 6 p.m. in Seymour. Borden tips-off in its semistate game at 4 p.m.
Optimist clubs holding breakfast
The Jeffersonville Optimist Clubs are sponsoring a breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16 at the William B. Scott Optimist Building, 61 Louise St., Jeffersonville. The charge is $5 per child and includes breakfast and crafts. An egg hunt will begin at 11 a.m. at no charge for the children of the community.
