NEWS AND TRIBUNE
The city of Jeffersonville will be hosting Easter events at Vissing Park starting Thursday.
The Easter bunny will be making a special appearance and will be available for photo opportunities at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at Vissing Park. The Easter bunny will also be providing children who attend the special event tips on finding the 5,000 eggs that will be hidden in Vissing Park for Saturday’s flash light Easter egg hunt.
Jeffersonville’s flashlight Easter egg hunt will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30, in Vissing Park.
“We are very excited to have our flashlight Easter egg hunt at Vissing Park this year,” said Sara Schutz, director of special events and RiverStage for Jeffersonville’s Parks Department, in a press release. “We will begin the hunt at dark and there are [more than] 5,000 eggs to be found. This will be a great way to get to know the new park.”
New this year, the flashlight Easter egg hunt has expanded to include adults. Immediately following the kids hunt, an adult hunt will take place.
“We decided that adults should be able to have some fun too,” Schutz said. “And we’ve got some great prizes which include Jeffersonville Aquatic Center season passes, Jeffersonville ice rink passes, gifts cards and more.”
Vissing Park is located at 2728 Vissing Park Road in Jeffersonville. Participants will need to bring their own flashlight and basket.
