A Bishop's blessing in Clarksville

Retired bishop of Evansville blesses building

CLARKSVILLE — It was a special occassion on Sunday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville. Gerald Gettelfinger, retired Bishop of Evansville, was on hand to bless the new St. Anthony Scout Lodge. The building, tucked between the St. Anthony Parish Center and the Friary, housed a St. Anthony custodian's family in 1953 and has been the site for the kindergarten and preschool classes. The Scout Lodge will now facilitate meetings for Cub Scout Pack 48, Boy Scout Troop 10 and Venture Crew 10. See related photos by Leah Tate.
