A cause for paws: Parade, rally raises funds and awareness for pets

(Continued)

NEW ALBANY —

If you’re interested in adopting a house rabbit, contact Kalb at mary@indianahrs.org.

Roberson began fostering dogs about 12 years ago. She wanted a rat terrier, and after weeks of searching utilized a rescue group to obtain one.

Shortly thereafter, the group asked if she’d foster a rat terrier, and since then she’s kept more than 80 dogs until they were adopted.

Roberson’s dogs have been adopted in 28 states and Canada, and she doesn’t have any intentions of stopping.

“I love fostering,” she said. “It’s something I can do to give back to the community.”
