CLARKSVILLE

Clarksville to hold work session

The Clarksville Town Council will hold a work session at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19. The work session will be held in the executive conference room of Clarksville Town Hall, 2000 Broadway, Clarksville. 

 

Plan commission meeting rescheduled

The Clarksville Plan Commission scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 6, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Feb. 13. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the council chamber of the Clarksville Town Hall, 2000 Broadway, Clarksville. 

 

Library launching Austen book club

The Clarksville Branch Library, 1312 Eastern Boulevard, Clarksville, will present an evening with Jane Austen, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Feb. 19, at the library.

Join IUS Professor Tresa Reynolds for an evening of Jane Austen. This event marks the kick-off of the Jane Austen Book Club at the Clarksville Library.

The Jane Austen Book Club will meet the second Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m., beginning March 12. The club will read “Mansfield Park” by Jane Austen for the first meeting.

American Girl tea is Feb. 23

The Clarksville Branch Library, 1312 Eastern Blvd., Clarksville, is hosting an American Girl Tea Party, 1 to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, at the library.

Join the library staff for genteel crafts, cookies and conversation as the legacy of the American Girl dolls and the history they represent are discussed. American Girl dolls are invited as well! This event is for youth in grades 1-5. Registration is required. Please call 812-285-5640 to register.

 

CLT auditions are upcoming

Clarksville Little Theatre, 301 E. Montgomery Ave., Clarksville, will hold auditions for "Wedding Singer," 7 p.m., Feb. 24, at the theatre.

Show dates are May 10 - 11- 16- 17- 18 at 8 p.m. and May 12 at 2 p.m.

Seminar to focus on knee, hip pain

Clark Memorial Hospital Center for Orthopedics and Spine will host a free education seminar on osteoarthritis and knee and hip pain.
