National Weather Service issues tornado watch

Includes Clark, Floyd and Harrison counties

> SOUTHERN INDIANA — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 2 a.m. for Clark, Floyd and Harrison counties in Southern Indiana.

A wind advisory remains in effect until 1 a.m.

Gusty winds up to 40 mph will continue through this evening as a strengthening low pressure system moves across the Great Lakes, according to the National Weather Service. Strong to severe showers will continue through tonight. A few of the strongest showers could produce strong enough winds to break limbs or down weak trees.

A wind advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph or wind gusts from 40 to 57 mph are expected, which can make driving difficult, according to NWS.
