Foreclosure action filed against Colgate owners

Boston Development Group and TCL Encore LLC jointly named as the defendants

CLARKSVILLE — The owners of the Colgate property in Clarksville are named as the defendants in a mortgage foreclosure lawsuit.

According to online court records, Boston Development Group and TCL Encore LLC are jointly named as the defendants in a case filed by 1410 S Clark Boulevard LLC.

Attorney Nathan Danielson, who is listed as the attorney for the plaintiff in the court records, could not be reached by press time.

The case is filed in Clark County Circuit Court No. 2.

Town Attorney Chris Sturgeon announced the lawsuit at the regular meeting of the Clarksville Redevelopment Commission Thursday. The lawsuit had been filed last week, he said, but the absence of an employee in the Clark County clerk of the circuit court’s office delayed the filing.

POLICE STATION UPDATE

Improvements at the Clarksville Police Department are nearly finished.

The redevelopment commission unanimously approved spending about $2,800 out of the contingency for the improvement project for upgrades to the building’s bathrooms.

When asked about how long the improvements to the bathrooms would take to be completed, Kovert Hawkins representative Heather Graninger said it would not take very long.

“Is there a chance we can beat the Big Four Bridge?” joked Town Council President Bob Polston.

Graninger said they would.

Graninger assured the redevelopment commission members that the updated police department would be ready to go on display for the public at an open house Saturday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

TRAFFIC STUDY

A traffic study of Blackinston Mill Road near Lewis and Clark Parkway is underway, Project Coordinator Brittany Montgomery said.

Montgomery told the commission that a safety audit of the area, which will be performed by representatives of the town’s street, police and fire departments and the Kentuckiana Regional Planning & Development Agency, will be done in two weeks.

Ideas for how to improve Blackiston Mill Road will be presented at the June meeting of the commission, Montgomery said.
