Clark Memorial CEO to speak at National Press Club

JEFFERSONVILLE —  President and CEO of Clark Memorial Hospital Martin Padgett will represent the Indiana Hospital Association/Coalition for Care during the American Hospital Association’s presentation at the National Press Club as part of a panel discussion on National Patient Safety in Washington, D.C. from 2 to 3 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 24.

The intent of the event is to highlight the recent success of hospitals nationally that are showing significant improvement in quality and patient safety outcomes and cost savings, according to a release from Clark Memorial Hospital. Padgett was asked to specifically highlight the results related to reductions in the areas of ventilator-associated pneumonias (VAP) and early-elective deliveries.

Padgett, representing Clark Memorial, is one of only two hospitals invited to participate on the panel. The other hospital is located in Arizona.
