Work One hosting job fair
Work One’s 2014 Job Fair will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, at WorkOne, 2125 State St., New Albany.
There is no cost to job seekers. Those interested should bring a resume and dress appropriate for on-the-spot job interviews.
FCHS holding reunion
The Floyd Central class of 2004 will be hosting its 10-year reunion at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 28, at Valley View Golf Course. Cost is $25 per person, which includes appetizers, two beer tickets and a live band.

Seminar to focus on ash borer
In order to help homeowners identify and manage emerald ash borers, the Purdue Extension Office is hosting an emerald ash borer workshop at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, in the conference room of the extension office, 9608 Ind. 62, Charlestown.
The cost to attend is $10; call the Extension office at 812-256-4591 to register.
Topics will include insect identification, ash tree identification, determining if your ash tree is worth saving and treatment options for infested trees.

Author to speak at meeting
Clark’s Grant Historical Society will meet, 7:30 p.m., today, May 19, at the Charlestown Library, 51 Clark Road, Charlestown.
Rick Osmon, author, historical researcher, and radio show host, is returning with a program about his recent research into the ancient, Pre-Columbian, line-of-site communications that criss-crossed the entire Ohio River system, and went from the east coast to the Mississippi River.
Some of this information was recently published in the “Ancient American” magazine. Rick has some breaking news of investigating some new and old sites in Carrolton, Ky.

Run for Berries scheduled
The annual Run for the Berries 5k run/walk will begin at 8 a.m. May 24 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 8310 St. John Road, Floyds Knobs.
Cost is $20 with a shirt and $15 without by May 20, or $25 with shirt and $20 without after May 20.

Proceeds will benefit St. John’s Church and the Providence cross country team.

Church holding revival this week
