HARNED: Humidity returns for the weekend

A big cool down will follow

LOUISVILLE — Plenty of sunshine is in store Friday as temperatures return to the 90s. The heat and humidity will continue to increase through the weekend.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will slowly increase, too. The greatest chance will occur ahead of a cold front late Sunday into Monday. Some heavy downpours will be possible.

The actual front pushes past the region by Tuesday, dropping our temperatures to highs in the 70s for mid-next week. That’s bonus weather for mid July.
