Tipsy dump truck causes traffic tie-up in Clark County

Northbound lanes of I-65 affected after truck loses its load

CLARK COUNTY — A dump truck that lost part of its load is causing traffic headaches on Interstate 65 in Clark County this morning.

According to William Hannon of the Indiana State Police, the accident happened at about 10:40 a.m. and caused three of the four lanes of northbound I-65 to be shut down between mile markers 4 and 5, near the Lewis and Clark Parkway.

Crews from the state highway department are on the scene “trying to get everything cleaned up to open the highway again,” Hannon said.

Officials are intermittently opening and closing lanes during the clean-up, easing the traffic burden.
