WEATHER FORECAST: Weather advisory in effect

By KEVIN HARNED
WAVE-3 News

— A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. Friday. In general several waves of snow showers will move across Kentuckiana over the next 24 hours.

We’ll see minor accumulations, but as we’ve seen it doesn’t take much to cause a lot of problems. In areas that see the heavier snow bursts a one to two inch snowfall is possible.

I feel like most will stay under a half inch ... but there will be a few that see more. Temperatures will continue to fall into the lower 20s Friday ... and into the teens by early Saturday morning.

Slightly warmer weather arrives with some sunshine by the end of the weekend. Monday, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, skies become mostly cloudy again with our warmest temperatures in the next seven days in the low to mid 40s.
