Ceruti Chamber Players to perform

Indiana University Southeast Music Department will present the Ceruti Chamber Players at 3 p.m. Feb. 9 in Richard K. Stem Concert Hall, Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center on the IU Southeast Campus, 4201 Grant Line Road, New Albany

Teen time coming to library

Teen Time will be held on upcoming Wednesdays at the Charlestown Library, 51 Clark Road, Charlestown. Play some games, get some homework help, and more.

This program will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Feb. 5 and Feb. 19.

Learn a sweet craft

Create a unique Valentine’s craft at the Charlestown Clark County Library by transforming wire hangers into colorful heart shaped wreaths. Bring one wire hanger from home; all other materials will be provided.

Workshops are:

• Feb. 10 — 5:30 to 6:45 p.m., Charlestown Library, 51 Clark Road, Charlestown.

• Feb. 11 —  5:30 to 7 p.m., Borden Library, 117 Main St., Borden.


Weight loss seminar to be held

Clark Memorial Hospital Bariatric Weight Loss Program is hosting a free weight loss seminar at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13 in the Kathryn Raines Education and Conference Center in the hospital, 1220 Missouri Ave., Jeffersonville.

Dr. Daniel MacMillan and Dr. Patri Marconi, of Surgical Associates Southern Indiana, will present information on obesity and the laparoscopic weight loss procedure offered at Clark Memorial Hospital. Registered Nurse Carolyn McKee, program coordinator, will discuss how a comprehensive post-procedure follow-up program benefits weight loss patients and basic insurance information and guidelines.

The seminar is open to the public, however, reservations are requested. Call 812-283-2087 for reservations.


Sister Cities’ pub night

Area residents will soon get a taste what life is like in Great Britain as the Clarksville Sister Cities Association’s will hold its annual English Pub Night fundraiser from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 17.

The event includes a fish and chips dinner from 6 to 7 and team trivia from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The event is held inside St. Anthony School’s cafeteria, 320 N. Sherwood Ave.

The trivia questions will be based on English culture as well as Clarksville’s Sister City, Bewdley, England. Those wishing to attend may bring their own team, or join a team once they arrive.

Tickets are being sold for $20 and may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling 812-283-1504. All the money raised will benefit the Clarksville’s Sister Cities Association.
