City of Jeffersonville
Egg hunt at Vissing Park
• The city of Jeffersonville will hold its flashlight Easter egg hunt at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Vissing Park, 2728 Vissing Park Road, Jeffersonville.
More than 5,000 eggs will be hidden on the grounds of the newly refurbished Vissing Park, which is a new location for the hunt this year. The event is free and hunting will begin as soon as it’s dark.
• Immediately following the flashlight egg hunt for kids, there will be an egg hunt for adults, ages 18 and older. The adult egg hunt is a first-time event that will allow grown-ups to have some fun of their own and maybe even uncover a treasure like season passes to the aquatic center, tickets to the ice rink and gift cards.
Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church
Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Stacy Road and Ind. 403, Charlestown, will host its annual Easter egg hunt. All children, toddlers to age 12, are invited to the Amazing Platypus Egg Hunt. The event will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday with parachute games and the story of the platypus. The egg hunt with more than 500 eggs will be divided in to age groups with prizes for everyone.
Rock of Hope Church
Rock of Hope Church, 8206 Old State Road, 60, Sellersburg, will host an Easter egg hunt at noon Saturday at the church. Refreshments will be provided.
Georgetown Optimist Club
An Easter egg hunt for preschool through grade four sponsored by Forward Church will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Georgetown Optimist Club grounds, followed by a free lunch at noon (hot dogs, chips, dessert and drink).
