Greater Clark fills principal positions

JEFFERSONVILLE —

A new principal for Clark County Middle/High School and assistant principal for Jeffersonville High School were approved by Greater Clark County Schools’ board of trustees meeting Tuesday night.

Jeff Griffith, an assistant principal at Jeffersonville High School, will take the top spot vacated by Jim Sexton at the middle/high school. The board voted to involuntarily transfer Sexton to New Washington Middle/High School at its May 7 meeting. He will serve as a science teacher there.

Mariane Fisher, who had filled a vacant assistant principal role at Jeffersonville High School on an interim basis, was approved to take the role permanently.

The board approved both positions unanimously in an addendum to the personnel report that was announced at the beginning of Tuesday night’s meeting.
