Portion of Allison Lane in Jeffersonville to close

Closure beginning next week is due to sewer work

JEFFERSONVILLE — A portion of Allison Lane in Jeffersonville will be closed to local access for five days beginning next week for sewer work.

The Board of Public Works approved the closure Wednesday requested by Dan Cristiani Excavating Co. Inc. for May 21 through 26. The road will be closed between Regina Avenue and Utica Pike to all but construction vehicles so that crews can connect an old sewer line to a new one.

One block of Bennett Avenue between Allison Lane and Fay Avenue will be completely closed, as the road will be torn up for the sewer work.

The detour route will be along Regina and Virginia avenues.
