Legion Post hosting district meeting
The American Legion Post 204 of Sellersburg will host the 8th District meeting at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at the Sellersburg American Legion, 412 N. New Albany St., Sellersburg.
Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. All members of the American Legion family are invited to attend. The department officers of the American Legion Auxiliary from Indianapolis will also be in attendance. For more information, call 812-246-4064.
Bull soundness clinic set
The annual Bull Breeding Soundness Evaluation Clinic for Clark County will be at noon, March 26, at the Clark County 4-H Center, 9608 Ind. 62, Charlestown.
The clinic will begin at noon and bulls will be scheduled for the evaluation. The cost is $35 per bull. This fee covers internal and external reproductive organ palpation, semen collection and evaluation, parasite control application and vaccines. The exams will be conducted by Dr. Jerry Rusch of Springmill Vet Clinic.

JHS track teams hosting run
The Jeffersonville High School boys’ and girls’ track and field teams and boosters will present the Feel the Burn 5K run/walk starting at 9 a.m. April 6 at Blair Field. The race will take place in conjunction with the Jeffersonville Inferno Classic Track & Field Invitational on April 5 and 6.
The Feel the Burn 5K is for all ages, and awards will be given for the top three finishers in each age category as well as overall male and female finishers. Participants receive a Feel the Burn 5k T-shirt and free entrance into the Inferno Classic Invitational.
Entry fee is $20 per person if postmarked by March 22. For registrations postmarked after March 22, the entry fee is $30 and the T-shirt is not guaranteed. Entry fees are non-refundable. Registration forms are available by contacting RunningRedDevils@gmail.com. Check-in and late registration will take place from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. on April 6, at Blair Field.
Learn to decorate cupcakes
The New Albany-Floyd County Public Library is hosting the monthly Make-It, Take-It Easter at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, in the lower level lounge at the library. This month’s theme is Easter cupcakes.
Easter cupcakes can make edible gifts for friends or family. With some creativity and ingenuity, participants can use simple ingredients to make fun, enjoyable designs.

Children’s Musical Theatre opens
Derby Dinner Playhouse will open the musical “A Year with Frog and Toad” on March 16, 23 and 30 as part of its Children’s Musical Theatre Series.
