Gov. Pence to speak at LSI event

> SOUTHERN INDIANA — Indiana Gov. Mike Pence will join Leadership Southern Indiana for the Governor Series Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 6 at Kye’s II, 500 Missouri Ave., Jeffersonville.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear the governor’s perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing Indiana and how Southern Indiana plays a key part in the state’s success.

“We’re thrilled to have Governor Pence join us,” said Mark Eddy, LSI’s Executive Director, in a LSI news release. “Leadership Southern Indiana strives to provide opportunities like this for our members and the broader community to be informed and engaged citizens.”

Eddy expects the event to sell out and encouraged those interested in attending to register quickly. The cost is $23 for LSI members and $28 for nonmembers. A table of eight can be purchased for $200.

Those interested should register online at leadershipsi.org or call 812-246-6574 by March 3 to register for the Ogle Foundation-sponsored event.

MORE THAT DAY

LSI will be hosting a Mix, Mingle & Learn event later that day at 300 Spring in Jeffersonville. Attendees will get to tour the Big Four Bridge, hear from local authorities, enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and mingle with LSI friends.

The program begins at 4:55 p.m., tour at 5:30 p.m., door prize drawing at 6:20 p.m.
