Winter weather advisory issued for Clark, Floyd counties

Southern Indiana could see a couple of inches of snow

> SOUTHERN INDIANA — A winter weather advisory has been issued for Clark and Floyd counties and surrounding areas by the National Weather Service from 1 a.m. Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday.

Snow is expected to develop after midnight over Southern Indiana, with total accumulation by Saturday night of less than 2 inches. Areas of Kentucky could get up to 4 inches of snow.

The NWS said it expects travel difficulties related to the snowfall. The chance of snow is 40 percent overnight and 60 percent Saturday.

Today’s high is predicted at 20, with wind chill values as low as 3. Tonight’s low is expected to be about 17.

Saturday’s high will be about 33 and Sunday will top out at 35.
