Parks authority shifts meeting times
The Jeffersonville Parks Authority has changed its regularly scheduled meeting time for the remainder of the year from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The meetings will still be held on the fourth Monday of each month in city council chambers at Jeffersonville City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Court, in Jeffersonville.
Benefit to honor Ethan Bennett
A benefit for the Ethan Bennett Memorial Scholarship Fund, being administered by the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana, will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Lakeside Reflections, 617 Brown Forman Road, Jeffersonville. The night will have live music, a silent auction, face painting, massages, shoe shines and more. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
Proceeds will go to the Ethan Bennett Memorial Scholarship Fund to help fellow students pursue higher education.
Bone and joint seminar on tap
Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services is offering a free bone and joint pain seminar from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in the hospital Main Street classroom.
This is an opportunity for those who are having trouble with activities like walking, golf, bowling, swimming and gardening due to pain in the knees or hips, to learn about advanced treatments that may offer dramatic relief. An orthopedic surgeon and nurse will discuss medications and exercise, and explain the latest technology for joint replacement surgery.

Church hosting play
St. Marks on Spring will present “Almost Maine,” a romantic comedy by John Cariani, April 5 through April 7 and April 12 through April 15 at 8 p.m. nightly at St. Marks United Church of Christ, 222 E. Spring St., New Albany.
