JEFFERSONVILLE

JHS holding cheer clinic

Jeffersonville High School’s annual cheerleading clinic for all students in kindergarten through fifth grade will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Jeffersonville High School, 2215 Allison Lane, Jeffersonville.

The students will then perform at halftime of the varsity football game Friday, Aug. 30. The game begins at 7 p.m. Clinic participants will cheer the first half of the football game.

The cost is $25 per students. Make checks payable to Jeff Cheer Boosters.

Clarksville Little Theatre to open Sept. 13

Clarksville Little Theatre will open its 67th season with this fantastic reimagining of Mary Shelley’s classic novel, “Young Frankenstein.” Based on the 1974 Mel Brooks film of the same name, this new musical features the same story you know and love filled with wonderful songs and dances. Directed by C. Kevin Swansey, with new choreography by Valerie Hopkins.

Show times are Sept. 13-14 at 8 p.m. and Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. Repeat performances will be Sept. 19, 20 and 21 at 8 p.m.
