Sticky fingers: Robber targets Clarksville doughnut shop

Sunday heist yields $100, dozen doughnuts

CLARKSVILLE — Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in Clarksville was targeted by an armed robber Sunday morning.

Clarksville Police Maj. Darrell Rayborn said officers responded to the business on Veterans Parkway after a call was received about 6:50 a.m.

Rayborn said a man entered the store, ordered a dozen donuts and when the employee was giving him the order, he displayed a firearm, handed over a duffle bag and demanded money.

“He left on foot carrying the duffel bag as well as the doughnuts,” Rayborn said.

The man was last seen walking from the property.

Rayborn said approximately $100 was taken during the robbery.

He said there is other information pertaining to the case, but felt it was too soon to release that information to the public.
