JPD asks for help in identifying robbery suspect

Man suspected of robbing bank at Meijer on Friday

JEFFERSONVILLE — The Jeffersonville Police Department seeks the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a Friday morning bank robbery.

According to a news release from the department, a white man wearing a light-green, long-sleeve shirt and camouflage hat approached the counter of the US Bank branch in the Meijer store on Allison Lane and presented an employee with a threatening note demanding money. After the robbery, the suspect, who got an undetermined amount of money, fled in a white passenger car.

The suspect is described as being 30 to 40 years old, between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin build and light complexion.

Anyone with information about the robbery or identity of the suspect is asked to call the Jeffersonville Police Department’s Detective Division at 812-285-6535 or the Dispatch Center at 812-283-6633.
