WEATHER FORECAST: Unsettled system means cool temps, rain

LOUISVILLE — Overnight storms have moved east .. and now as the sunshine returns temperatures will warm into the mid 70s. The weekend continues to look dry and warm with highs in the low to mid 80s. The well-advertised unsettled weather is still on track for late Sunday night through Tuesday. During this time showers and storms are expected to increase. Some could become strong, perhaps severe. The same storm system is still expected to stall over the area for mid-late week next week. This would mean a chance for showers and cool weather to continue through Oaks Day, and perhaps even Derby Day. It will all be on the timing of getting the area of low pressure out of the region.
