Road race set for Sunday

JEFFERSONVILLE —

The Kentucky Derby Festival will host another road race in 2013. The new miniFun Run is for kids ages 3 to 14. Scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 28, the kids’ fitness run will be held along River Road.

The route will feature a looped course which will start and finish in the same place. The start line for all age groups will be near the finish for the Marathon and mini-Marathon at Preston and Witherspoon streets on River Road. 

Adults are welcome to participate with their child. 

Registration for the event is open online at derbyfestivalmarathon.com. Registration fees are $25 at the Running Wild Race Expo on April 25 and 26. Registration day of the event is $25 and will available on site from 9 to 11 a.m. Runners in the Marathon and miniMarathon receive a $5 discount for their children.
