The theme for this performance is “The American Spirit.” The performance starts at 7 p.m. and includes an intermission with refreshments. There are no advance ticket sales but donations will be accepted at the door with proceeds going to renovate this historic building.

CLARKSVILLE

World War II roundtable is Friday

A World War II Roundtable will be at 9 a.m. Friday, June 28, at the Clarksville Branch Library, 1312 Eastern Blvd., Clarksville. 

June’s feature will be “WW II Nurse on the Battle Field” related by daughter Mary Burke.

The event is free and open to the public. No registration necessary. For more information call Bill Martin at 812-282-1738.

 

Theater auditions on tap

Clarksville Little Theatre’s 2013 Children’s Show “Alice in Wonderland,” directed by Sarah Clark, will hold auditions, Saturday, June 29, at noon and  Tuesday July 2, at 6 p.m. at the theatre.

Actors needed are: girls and boys 6 to 12 years old. No experience is necessary. Auditions will consist of a one minute memorized monolog — no singing — but the monologue may be a recited song. Older children will do cold readings from the script. Show dates are July 26, 27 and 28.

 

UTICA 

5th Sunday for Utica churches

Utica-area churches’ annual singing will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at Utica Church of Christ.

All are invited to attend and participate. A fellowship time will follow the singing.
