(Continued)

CLARKSVILLE —

She told police as she was collecting items that had fallen out of her purse, that Crawford “ ... began to choke her and struck her in the right eye with the palm of his hand.”

She also reported that Crawford picked her up a second time and threw her into a gate, which caused an injury to her arm.

“[The woman] stated during the assault Crawford advised her to get off the property and never come back,” police reported.

Another person in the area confirmed the woman’s story to police.

Crawford told police he denied committing the battery and said that he did not know how the woman received the injuries she sustained.
