Rotary Club accepting grant applications
The Rotary Club of New Albany has just released the call for grant applicants. This year they have a new and improved application process engineered to make applying simpler and more straightforward. The Rotary Club of New Albany focuses on funding grants based upon six areas of focus: peace and conflict prevention/resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education, and economic and community development.
Guidelines to assist you in your application: Must serve Floyd County, are not intended for general operating expenses, grants to individuals are generally not eligible, and grants range in size from $250 to $1,000. Other amounts may be considered on the nature of the project and strength of the application. All charitable organizations and projects meeting the above focus areas are encouraged to apply.
Applications are available on the club’s website at www.rcna.us. Contact John Newbanks, grants chair by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone: 502-599-7139 if you prefer to have an application mailed or faxed to you. Be sure to include your name, the name of your organization or project, address and return telephone number including the area code. If you prefer a fax, please give him your fax number as well.
The deadline for submission is March 27.
