IU Southeast kicks-off graduation season

Indiana University Southeast will be awarding more degrees to more students than ever before at the 45th Commencement ceremony at 4 p.m., Monday, May 6, at the IU Southeast Amphitheater.

The Class of 2013 — the largest in IU Southeast history — is made up of 1,189 candidates for graduation, including 1,128 who will receive their degrees from IU on Monday and 61 who will receive their degrees at a separate ceremony held by Purdue University College of Technology. Those graduates will earn a total of 1,254 degrees — the most ever awarded.

In case of rain the event will move to the IU Southeast Activities Building, and Commencement will be held in two separate ceremonies at noon and 4 p.m.

 

Below are the times and dates for high school graduations:

• Jeffersonville High School — Friday, May 24, 7 p.m.

• Charlestown High School — Saturday, May 25, 1 p.m.

• New Washington High School — Saturday, May 25 10 a.m.

• Henryville High School — Sunday, June 2, 2 p.m. 

• Borden High School — Sunday, June 2, 4 p.m. 

• Silver Creek High School — Sunday, June 2, 6  p.m. 

• Clarksville High School —  Thursday, May 20, 7 p.m.

• Providence High School — Sunday, June 9, 5 p.m.

• Floyd Central High School — Sunday, June 2, 5 p.m.

• New Albany High School — Sunday, June 2, 2 p.m.

• Rock Creek Community Academy — Saturday, June 1, 2:30 p.m.

• Christian Academy of Indiana —  Friday, May 31, 7 p.m.

• Community Montessori — Saturday, June 1, 2 p.m.

 

Other graduation dates

• Ivy Tech Community College Southern Indiana — May 14, 6:30 p.m., Northside Christian Church

• Prosser Vocational Center —  May 29, 7 p.m., at Floyd Central High School
