Public invited to east-end bridge open houses

Indiana event is next Wednesday in Utica

UTICA — The public has been invited to open-house events for the east-end crossing of the Ohio River Bridges Project.

WVB East End Partners, the Indiana Department of Transportation and the Indiana Finance Authority have scheduled two open houses, where the public can visit and learn more about the construction of the east-end bridge over the Ohio River, according to a press release.

Each open house will include information on the construction timeline, project design, environmental considerations and traffic considerations.

Indiana is responsible for constructing the east-end bridge and its approaches, which will connect Utica to Prospect, Ky., as its part of the Ohio River Bridges Project.

The open houses will be held: From 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at Springdale Community Church East Campus, Main Building, 4601 Springdale Road, in Louisville; and from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at the John Nobel Woods Utica Community Center, 106 N. Fourth St., in Utica.
