Young hosting mobile hours

The office of Rep. Todd Young, R-Ind., will be holding mobile office hours in Scott County from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Scottsburg Train Depot, 90 N. Main St., Scottsburg.

Constituents who need help in dealing with a federal agency are encouraged to visit during this time as caseworkers will be present to assist them. Those with questions or who would like to reserve time for a meeting should contact the Jeffersonville Constituent Service Center at 812-288-3999.

Brandon’s House hosting events

The annual walkathon for Brandon’s House Counseling Center Inc., 1618 Beeler St., New Albany, will begin at 3 p.m. April 14 at DePauw Methodist Church, across from New Albany High School.

The event is the biggest fundraiser for Brandon’s House, a nonprofit agency that gives away master’s level counseling to teenagers and families in the community. Brandon’s House depends almost entirely upon community support.

Brandon’s House will be holding an open house for the walkathon from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 18 through Thursday, March 21, from 1 to 6 p.m. Stop by Brandon’s House to register. Walkers who register by April 5 will be entered in a drawing for a free pair of custom-fit walking and running shoes from Pacers and Racers. Walkathon T-shirts will be just $7 during the week of the open house and $10 after March 21.

Anyone who would like to donate can mail a check to Brandon’s House, 1618 Beeler St., New Albany, IN, 47150. Donations can also be made at the website, brandonshousein.com. Call 812-949-2499 for more information.

NEW ALBANY

40 & 8 Club sponsoring meal

The 40 & 8 Club will sponsor an open house and salmon patty or corn beef and cabbage dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at the clubhouse, 221 Albany St., New Albany.

The price for the Samoan patty or corn beef and cabbage dinner with fried potatoes, macaroni and cheese, slaw and dessert, is $7.
