Annual Kiwanis pancake breakfast

The Kiwanis Club of Historic New Albany will sponsor a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at The Grand Theatre in downtown New Albany.

Table sponsorship is $300 and you receive 20 tickets for an all-you-can eat pancake breakfast. Individual tickets are $10 each.

Silver Creek to raffle U of L tickets

Silver Creek Middle School and High School football programs are sponsoring a raffle to win two suite tickets to the University of Louisville vs. South Florida game Oct. 20.

The drawing will be Oct. 8 at halftime of the junior varsity football game.

To purchase a ticket, see any Silver Creek football player. Tickets are $10 each.


NARFE to meet Tuesday

The National Association of Retired Federal Employees Jeffersonville Chapter 381 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Clark County Red Cross Building, 1805 E. Eighth St., Jeffersonville

Special featured speaker will be Ken Schultz. All NARFE members and the public are invited to attend. For further information, call Paul Davis 812-282-6410.


Celebrate ‘Sleepy Hollow’

Bring your family and celebrate “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” at the Charlestown-Clark County Public Library. This program is for the family to enjoy together and appropriate for all ages. Decorate a pumpkin, make a pumpkin candy bracelet, play games and more.

• Sellersburg Library, 430 N. Indiana Ave., Sellersburg, 2 to 4 p.m., Oct. 17
