Prosser holding open house tonight

Prosser Career Education Center, 4202 Charlestown Road, New Albany, is hosting its annual open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today, Jan. 17, at the school.

Students in grades 8 through 11 and their families are invited to come and explore the 24 career education programs Prosser has to offer, tour the classrooms and labs, meet with program instructors, visit with college reps, speak with local employers and enter to win door prizes. The Culinary Arts department will be serving a spaghetti dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for $1.

Indoor yard sale is Saturday

Floyds Knobs Community Club will sponsor an indoor yard sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Community Center, 4032 Weber Lane, Floyds Knobs.

Proceeds benefit Floyds Knobs Community Club.

Two spiritual retreats planned

A women’s retreat, “Women of the Scriptures — Revelations of God, ” is planned for Jan. 25 and Jan. 26 at Mount St. Francis Center, 101 St. Anthony Drive, Mount St. Francis.

The presenter is Brother Bob Baxter. 

On Feb. 9, a couples retreat day will be held — “Gifts for the Journey.” 

It begins at 9 a.m. with continental breakfast and concludes with a Saturday evening Mass followed by candlelight dinner. There will be presentations by Dawn and Sal Della Bella and Brother Bob Baxter.
