Bidders sought for Port Road work


JEFFERSONVILLE — JEFFERSONVILLE — Port of Indiana-Jeffersonville has issued a notice to bidders for improvements to be made to Port Road.

The proposed scope of work includes replacement of full-depth HMA pavement on Port Road with about 600 feet of jointed, reinforced concrete pavement near the intersection with Middle Road. The project also includes the replacement of an 84-inch culvert.

Bids shall be submitted on the proper form and delivered in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidders as described in the bid instructions, which accompanies the project specifications, according to a press release. A bidder’s bond payable to the Ports of Indiana must be enclosed with the bid. The bond shall be in the minimum amount of 5 percent of the maximum bid.

Bids will be received at the Port of Indiana-Jeffersonville office, 5100 Port Road, Jeffersonville, IN 47130, until 10 a.m. Feb. 13. Following the deadline, bids will be publicly opened.

The contract will be awarded no later than 60 calendar days form the date of the opening bond unless the day falls on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday, in which case it will be extended to the next working day.
