SOUTHERN INDIANA

Young’s office has inauguration tickets

Rep. Todd Young announced that his office is receiving a limited number of tickets to the presidential inauguration that will be made available to 9th District residents on a first come, first serve basis. The inauguration will be held Jan. 21.

Those interested in requesting tickets should contact the 9th District Office in Washington, D.C. at 202-225-5315. The offices in Jeffersonville and Bloomington will not be able to take requests.

• Tickets will be limited to one per person, though callers may request more than one if they provide a name and address for each additional ticket.

• Tickets will only be reserved for residents of the 9th District (under either the 112th Congress or 113th Congress maps).

• When the final number of tickets allotted to the office is determined in the next month, 9th District staff will call to confirm, and to provide information on how to pick up the tickets.

• Those who do not have a confirmed ticket will be notified that they are placed on a standby list. As tickets become available through cancellation, they will be offered to constituents on the standby list in the same first come, first serve basis.

NEW ALBANY

Museums team up for Ali program

From noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Carnegie Center for Art and History, Jeanie Kahnke and Kelly Watson of the Muhammad Ali Center will talk about the Generation Ali Art & Social Change YouTube Video Contest and the Center’s Day of Dignity, Day of Compassion.

Participants can bring a lunch, drinks are provided. This program is free, but registration is required by calling 812-944-7336.

The Lunch & Learn programs are sponsored by the Carnegie Center Inc. The Muhammad Ali Center’s newest initiative, Generation Ali, fosters a new generation of leaders to contribute positively to their communities and to change the world for the better. The program at the Carnegie Center, 201 E. Spring St., New Albany, will include a showing of several of the contest finalists’ videos and a conversation about the public’s response to these programs.
