RICKS LEADS NEW WASH TO VICTORY

Mustang senior Caroline Ricks led the New Washington charge with a double-double in their 55-37 win over Southwestern (3-5) on Thursday.

Ricks scored15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the victory. Ashley Johnson added 17 points and Courtney Amick scored 11 to put three Mustangs in double-figures.

LIONS FALL SHORT AT MEDORA

With a 21-11 point lead going into the half, Rock Creek looked to be in position to end its 26-game losing streak.

With a 23-point third quarter, Medora battled back and took the game from the Lions, 44-39.

Medora (1-5) only had three girls get into the scoring colum but 21 points came from Ashley Lambert, 18 points from Kylee King and Jadelyn Dean’s five points were enough to outscore the Lions.

Freshman Catie Troncin was the only Liobn in double figures with 11 points in the loss.
