• Bulldogs beat BNL:
Rachel Geveden and Stephanie Iglesias each scored an unassisted goal as New Albany earned a Hoosier Hills Conference road victory at Bedford North Lawrence on Saturday.

Geveden scored halfway through the first half to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 halftime lead an Iglesias made it 2-0 with 23:49 remaining in the contest.

NEXT: New Albany (2-4) hosts Corydon, Wednesday.

BOYS’ TENNIS

• Jeff goes 2-1 over weekend:
Jeffersonville’s 12th-ranked tennis team went 2-1 combined on Friday and Saturday.

After beating Terre Haute North 5-0 on Friday, the Red Devils defeated Castle 5-0 and fell to the host Wildcats 4-1 at Saturday’s Jasper Invitational.

Jeffersonville sophomore Brock Winchell went 3-0 at No. 3 singles, including a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 win over Jasper’s Jo Kemper for the Devils’ lone point against the Wildcats.

NEXT: Jeffersonville hosts Center Grove, Monday.
