NEW ALBANY — IU Southeast used a blistering attack from behind the 3-point arc to defeat Berea Thursday night at the Southeast Activities Building, 111-80.
The Grenadiers (19-3, 13-0 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) shot 63 percent (17-of-27) from 3-point range.
Aishon White made 6-of-7 3-pointers and led IU Southeast with 26 points. Teammate Kevin Mitchell was 5-of-5 from behind the arc in scoring 23 points. Mitchell also had four rebounds and four assists.
Also for the Grenadiers, Jeffersonville High School product Kegan Clark had 12 points and Jake Simpson added 10.
Though the Grenadiers’ offense was solid throughout, IU Southeast led by only eight points at halftime, 56-48.
The Grenadiers held Berea to just 31 percent shooting in the second half and outscored them 55-32 to pull away.
IU Southeast shot 54 percent for the game and 56 percent in the second half.
The Grenadiers will host IU East on Homecoming at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
