CLARKSVILLE — PIONEERS FINISH THIRD, HORNETS SEVENTH AT SUNRISE

Providence shot a 364 and Henryville a 385 at Saturday’s Madison Shawe Invitational, which was won by Madison.

Max Leist led the Pioneers with a 36 and Luke Davidson had a Henryville-best 92 at Sunrise Golf Course. Madison’s Jordan Griffith won medalist honors with a par-72.

PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

(April 13-19)

Sam Garr, Silver Creek

    Garr won medalist honors and shot par with a 35 at Hidden Creek on Tuesday. Garr’s performance helped the Dragons to a score of 164, 25 points ahead of runner-up Charlestown in a three-way meet.

• Mitchell Allender, Providence: Allendar’s meet-best 36 helped the Pioneers edge Corydon Central 152-154 at Covered Bridge on Tuesday.

• Jayson Arrell, Christian Academy: Arrell shot a 37 to lead all golfers in the Warriors’ 204-223 win over Rock Creek on Monday.

• Luke Davidson, Henryville: Davidson had a match-best 40 on the par-40 Shadowood Course as Henryville defeated Trinity Lutheran 188-201 on Monday.

• Tony Wagoner III, Borden: Wagoner shot a 46 to pace the Braves in Thursday’s 192-197 loss to Lanesville at Old Capitol in Corydon.
