> SOUTHERN INDIANA — Sophomore Charlotte Seaton’s 41 helped lead Silver Creek to an 181-182 victory over Mid-Southern Conference rival Corydon Central at Hidden Creek Golf Course on Tuesday.

Lily Smith and Liv Schmidt both shot a 46 and Kaela Roberts added a 48 for the Dragons. Kennedy Nash shot a 38 for Corydon, which was playing without top player Taylor Frederick, for medalist honors.

“We know we were fortunate to win this match given that a key Corydon player is presently injured and out of the rotation,” Creek coach Joe Ledbetter said. “However, we are pleased with our first effort of the year. We have some experience now in our sophomores and are pretty solid in the [No. ] 1 and 2 positions with Charlotte and Lily.  We also realize that to win the conference we will have to go through Corydon, to be sure. So we have some work to do to make up some 12-15 shots before the tournaments roll around.”

• Borden tops North Harrison, South Central: Borden shot a 240 at Chariot Run on Tuesday to defeat North Harrison by 19 strokes and South Central by 36 for a three-way meet victory.

Tina Fink led the Braves with a 47, followed by Sarah Potter’s 60, Lexi Marsh’s 66 and Mackenzie Smith’s 67.
