WKU's Stutsman wins Sun Belt honor for third straight week



• Katherine Clark (IU Southeast women’s tennis, Jr.) — No. 3 doubles win (8-2) and No. 4 singles loss (6-2, 6-2) in the Grenadiers’ 7-2 setback at Bellarmine on Sunday; team records: 4-2 overall, 3-0 KIAC.

• Taylor Davis (Hanover women’s soccer, Fr.) — notes: one shot in the Panthers’ 9-0 home victory over St. Mary-of-the-Woods on Saturday; team record: 7-1-1.


• Phoebe Bauer (Memphis women’s cross country, Fr.) — notes: 81st at the Rhodes Invitational on Saturday in Memphis, Tenn., 25:21.

• Maddy Bellew (Ottawa women’s tennis, So.) — notes: No. 1 singles win by injury default and No. 1 doubles loss (8-3) in the Braves’ 8-1 loss at William Jewell last Friday; team record: 0-1.

• Nick Blackwell (Transylvania men’s soccer, So.) — notes: Blackwell came off the bench in the Pioneers’ 1-1 tie at Maryville (Tenn.) last Tuesday; team record: 6-2-1.

• Shelby Hoskins (Tennessee-Martin volleyball, So.) — weekly stats: 18 kills, six blocks, two digs; top performance: season-high 11 kills and match-high five blocks in the Skyhawks’ 3-1 home win last Friday versus Southern Illinois-Edwardsville; team records: 7-11 overall, 1-1 Ohio Valley Conference.

• Nicole Jones (IU Southeast volleyball, Fr.) — weekly stats: 27 kills, 16 digs, three aces; top performance: 12 kills and 12 digs in the Grenadiers’ 3-1 win at St. Louis College of Pharmacy last Friday; team records: 10-6 overall, 2-0 KIAC.

• Catlin Lilly (Memphis volleyball, Fr.) — weekly stats: 32 kills, 11 digs, five blocks, two assists; top performance: career- and match-high 24 kills, 11 digs and three blocks in the Tigers’ 3-2 victory at Cincinnati on Sunday; team records: 9-6 overall, 1-1 American Athletic Conference.


• Lindsay Krohn (Bluffton volleyball, Sr.) — weekly stats: 14 digs, two assists; notes: five digs in the Beavers’ 3-2 win over Marietta (Ohio) on Saturday in Alliance, Ohio; team record: 8-11.


• Kelsey Davidson (IU Southeast volleyball, Sr.) — weekly stats: 16 digs, three assists; notes: six digs and two assists in the Grenadiers’ 3-1 victory at St. Louis College of Pharmacy last Friday; team records: 10-6 overall, 2-0 KIAC.

• Patric Geary (Hanover men’s golf, Jr.) — notes: 45th at the Dick Park Invitational Sept. 22-23 in Franklin with a two-round score of 166, 22-over-par (78 in the first round, 88 in the final).

• Casey Marlin (Lenoir-Rhyne women’s soccer, So.) — notes: Marlin came off the bench in the Bears’ two victories last week against Coker (3-0) and Lincoln Memorial (3-1); she played 34 minutes versus Coker and 38 minutes against Lincoln Memorial; team records: 4-2-1 overall, 2-0-1 South Atlantic Conference.

• Leah Mattingly (Ball State women’s soccer, Fr.) — notes: one shot in the Cardinals’ 1-0 win at Buffalo in double overtime last Friday; team records: 7-2-1 overall, 2-0 Mid-American Conference.
