• Alexis Bauer (Samford volleyball, Floyds Knobs native, Louisville Sacred Heart graduate, Sr.) — weekly stats: 69 digs, 12 assists, six aces; top performance: match-high 20 digs, three assists and match-high two aces in the Bulldogs’ 3-0 win over Georgia State last Friday at the Georgia State Invitational; notes: Bauer was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday; team record: 5-6.


• Drew Mattingly (Huntington men’s soccer, Jr.) — weekly stats: 21 saves; top performance: nine saves in the Foresters’ 1-0 home win over Manchester on Wednesday; team record: 4-1-2.


• Corey Finch (Hanover football, Fr.) — notes: Finch played in the Panthers’ 33-12 home setback to Wabash last Saturday; team record: 0-2.


• Ben Boesing (Southern Indiana men’s tennis, Sr.) — top performance: 3-1 in flight three singles and 3-1 in flight one doubles at the Bradley Invitational last Friday through Sunday.

• Rebekah Burgan (Parkland women’s soccer, Fr.) — top performance: one goal in the Cobras’ 8-0 road victory last Sunday against the Indiana Tech junior varsity team; team record: 3-0-1.

• Laura Der (Marshall volleyball, Jr.) — weekly stats: 68 kills, 29 digs, six blocks, four assists, three aces; top performance: match-high 19 kills, six digs and two blocks in the Thundering Herd’s 3-0 home victory over Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday; notes: Der made the all-tournament team at the Kent State Mizuno Classic last weekend; team record: 8-4.

• Rachel Engle (Western Kentucky volleyball, Fr.) — weekly stats: 30 digs, three aces, two assists, one kill; top performance: 10 digs in the Hilltoppers’ 3-1 victory over Dayton last Friday at the Western Kentucky Tournament; team record: 10-3.

• David Frank (Indianapolis men’s golf, Jr.) — top performance: 11th at the Green Bay Invitational Non-DI tournament with a two-round score of 154, 10-over-par (77 in the first round, 77 in the final); notes: the Greyhounds won the tourney.

• Kyndall Merritt (Indiana volleyball, Fr.) — top performance: 16 digs in the Hoosiers’ 3-2 loss to Stephen F. Austin last Friday at the Butler Invitational; team record: 6-3.

• Jimmy Nungester (IU Southeast men’s soccer, Jr.) — notes: seventh at No. 4 singles with a 1-2 record and eighth at No. 1 doubles with an 0-3 mark at the DePauw Fall Invitational last weekend.
