For the third straight year, New Albany’s Little League can boast the 9-10-year-old state champions. In pool play, New Albany beat every team by at least nine runs then beat Auburn 10-0 to set up a championship game against Highland. 9. JEFF WINS BASEBALL REGIONAL

Winning a sectional title is nothing new for Jeffersonville baseball. On May 26, the Red Devils capped their 23rd sectional championship run, which included an upset of No. 1 Floyd Central in the first round, with a 5-0 win over host Bedford North Lawrence for their second straight sectional crown and their fourth in seven years.
