• Cody Banet (IU East men’s basketball, Sr.) — notes: Banet was recently named to the All-Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete Team for the third time in his college career.



NEW ALBANY

• Josh Rogers (Louisville baseball, Fr.) — notes: Rogers and the Cardinals lost their first game of the College World Series last Saturday in Omaha, Neb., against Vanderbilt, 5-3; they then fell in an elimination game against Texas on Monday, 4-1; Rogers did not pitch in either game; season-ending stats: 3-3 record, 3.63 ERA, 47 strikeouts; team records: 50-17 overall, 19-5 American Athletic Conference.

• Jordan Striegel (Louisville baseball, Fr.) — notes: Striegel played in 13 games for the Cardinals this season; team records: 50-17 overall, 19-5 AAC.
